Although there are too many Rome shopping areas and venues to list on one page, the Rome travel guide has made a listing of what we think are the Rome shopping areas and venues that you should definitely not miss on your next visit to Rome.

Campo de' Fiori

The world famous Campo de' Fiori is a great place to go shopping for fresh flowers and delicious Italian food. This Rome shopping venue is the oldest Rome shopping market and started over one hundred and forty years ago.

The Campo de' Fiori is open daily except on Sunday. The great thing about going shopping at this Rome market is that there are a great number of small bars and restaurants located nearby so getting a bite to eat or having a cool drink is rather easy.

Via Condotti

The Via Condotti is the most famous and most upscale Rome shopping street. Shoppers on the Via Condotti will find boutiques from famous fashion designers such as Cartier and Giorgio Armani.

If you would like to visit the Via Condotti then please head over to the Spanish steps as this is where the Via Condotti starts.

Porta Portese

The Porta Portese is a very popular and much visited Sunday market. The Porta Portese opens in the early morning hours and closes around noon. If you would like to go shopping in Rome and are on a budget then this Rome shopping venue is the place to be.

There are a large number of market stalls selling second hand items and great bargains can be found on second hand clothing, furs and jewellery.

Discount Store

Not only is this the name, but it truly is a discount store! The store carries high end labeled goods at discounted prices. The nifty thing about this store is that it is nicely setup and is not one of those flea market-type stores that sells cheap goods. Items are displayed in glass display cases just as example. You'll find famous brands such as Armani, Versace, Ferre, etc.

If you are looking for brand name, but don't want to spend brand name prices, this is the place to shop!

Gazelle

Looking for a leather jacket in Rome? You won't have a difficult time finding a place to buy one, that's for sure. Family-owned and operated leather shop, Gazelle features coats, jackets, skirts, belts, wallets, and more.

The owners are particularly helpful and knowledgeable of their product line. You'll find that you'll spend a whole lot less but for greater quality and craftmanship.

Altroquando

An Italian bookstore that carries books, magazines, postcards, photos and more. Most items are in Italian, but what would you expect? They also carry a nice assortment of movie posters.

They even carry posters of American movies, but in an italian version. Pretty neat collectible.

Salvatore Ferragamo

This shop carries fine men's clothing and shoes. But shoes is why you'll want to stop in. Most men rave about the quality, comfort, and fit of Ferragamo dress shoes.

They occassionally mark their shoes down as much as 50% for older styles, but who cares when they look, fit, and wear the same. Take advantage of the bargains and save the rest of your money for fine food!

Antica Murrina

Although this is a small shop, they have a good variety of souvenirs and custom made italian jewelry. There are many beautiful pieces to select from and it's hard to leave the store with just a couple of them. No problem since prices are reasonable and you can always ask for a discount when buying multiple items.
